Mr. Ashby is a native of New Zealand and is based in Auckland. He is responsible for the management and oversight of several North Island based investments as well as supporting GFP’s acquisition and divestment strategies in the country. Mr. Ashby is a member of GFP’s Executive Committee which sets the firm’s strategic direction and oversees its day to day operations. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ashby was the Logistics and Value Manager for the Nelson Forest Joint Venture with Weyerhaeuser (1996 – 2003). He has held a range of senior operational and technical management roles throughout New Zealand for Fletcher Challenge (1989 – 1996). Mr. Ashby holds a BS in Forestry from University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
